1050Ti Laptop Pubg very low fps

1050Ti 4GB

i7 7700HQ

16 GB Ram

 

I have a laptop with these specs and on full low settings I get around 30-40 fps sometimes drops to 15-20 even. I updated the gpu driver put the power setting to max but these didn't fix it. Any idea what's causing the issue?

The fact that you're playing at/below minimum spec of the game.

Pubg is a very poorly optimized game and 1050ti can't take it any further. 2 of my friends have this gpu they were both disappointed with pubg's performance so one of them quit playing pubg on pc and the other friend upgraded his gpu to 5700xt

So my friend just tested it with his laptop who has a 1050 with same cpu and ram he can run the game around 60-70 fps

Lower your resolution and put everything at potato settings then.

At what resolution my friends were playing at 1080p? For you I will ask them again if they were playing on low or not and let you know. By the way both of them were using i5 7400

They were playing at low. I don't know what was the problem but this video shows pretty stable fps with same cpu.

Also download MSI afterburner and monitor the graphs for CPU Temperatures, CPU Frequency, GPU Temp and GPU Frequency. You should be around 3.4 Allcore on the 7700HQ and 1500Mhz or more on the GPU

What are you talking about? 1050ti can get more than 30 fps in Pupg. 

My Nephew has a 1050ti, is saw it with my own eyes. Mid 50´s is no Problem.

Well I don't play the game and i'm going of the minimal spec of the game which is a gtx 960 which is better/same compared to a 1050ti.

Depends on your experience I suppose. For me meeting minimal requirements is around 30 fps while recommended is 60.

There are a Trillion Factors which have impact on performance. Like i said. Recommended specs mean nothing.

Well like I said depends on your experience. Out of those trillion factors whenever I met minimal spec I got 30 after hitting recommended I got 60. But thank you for educating me that they mean nothing I really appreciate it.

More information than education.

Of course they show a certain direction of what to expect. But mostly weaker hardware can still manage it.
