Hey folks, This problem is with me for many years. My PC shuts down after about 3.5 hours after I launch a heavy game, no BSOD's, just freezes for 1.5 seconds, shut its self down without any error or massages and reboots. after I log in back again it mostly shuts down again after 2 minutes. I have sent my GPU to people to check it, they said its fine, now I do know it sounds like overheating, but I did checked the temps and they were all fine. when its freezing, sometimes I got weird sound loops. (again, for 1.5 seconds). This problem only started a few days ago and its back after about 4 months. Can you guys please help me?

If you don't mind too much please come back here and let us know if the new power supply does in fact fix the problem.

🙂 If you do, quote me so I'll know you've posted the final outcome.

Thanks

Well, after 13 days, I bought and installed the corsair cx550, very good power supply, didn't explode on me like last time (yes it happened) and yes my PC isn't crashing anymore. thanks a lot for the support guys!

Thanks for the update.

It helps me recognize pc problems and their fixes that might save me a lot of hassle in the future.

I figure If I'm going to be on a board like this anyway it would be nice to learn something useful.

Well your GPU use 120W and CPU is 80-84W i believe. When you open heavy game like you say all your system is trying to get most of W-s to use full power of your hardwares and when the WATT usage is in his PEAK the system of PSU checks if it can handle with it , if not then PSU will shut down or restart your PC , and also i don't think so your PSU is Pure 500W. ( just for you to know ;) )

Akinator V2 is here :D

Man what a bummer.

It is so weird that it worked good for you for like two months then just started to crash again yesterday.  🥴

I'm wondering if you have this pc plugged directly into the wall or do you use a surge protector?

Have you ever had surge problems where you live before?

That is the only thing that comes to my mind. 🤔

I wish I could help but I don't have a clue on this one.

Yes, I know it is really weird. I don't have a surge protector and I didn't had any surge issues. Infact, when I got my GPU back from testing, it didn't crash at all for half a year. and it started again when I updated my graphics driver.
