clock speed

I just built a computer and its up and running but i was lookin gat nzxt's CAM and it shows my clock speed at 4300. Should i be worried? I have a ryzen 5 3600x.

well idle as in sitting with a nothing or a tab open

NZXT's software cannot track idles and has frequent misreadings. Only Ryzen Master and HWiNFO will accurately report your system performance. Don't trust ANYTHING NZXT cam shows you.

I don't use CAM I look at taskmanager for clockspeeds

It depends on what is running in the background / foreground, and what power saving features / settings are enabled or disabled.

 

For my system, it I set the power plan to 'Balanced', it will jump around randomly...800 MHz, 4.3 GHz, 2.5 GHz, etc.

Setting it to 'High Performance', it is more stable sitting at 4.2GHz ~ 4.3 GHz.

CPU load hovering at around 2% ~ 5%.

Also not reliable. Like I said, only Ryzen Master and HWiNFO can detect idle states properly
