Hello, recently I have come across this problem where my gpu usage would be 10% or less especially when running games.

My specs :

CPU: amd fx8320e

GPU: nvidia gtx 1050ti

RAM: 16gb ddr3 4x4 sticks

Motherboard : m578l-m plus/usb3.0

I run less than 100 fps on csgo despite the fact that the settings are automatically the highest and usually get 300 ish fps etc. I've tried ddu to see if it was a drivers problem but no fix. I haven't installed new hardware recently apart from a mouse pad. I've benchmarked haven to see if there is any issues there concerning fps but I run it at roughly 100 fps and the gpu utilisation is at max during this process. I am unsure what else to do and am running out of ideas.

Is this only a problem with csgo or with other games too?

I've got the same issue with COD Warzone but in that case I get completely 0% gpu usage, but it's weird, a few weeks ago I didn't have this issue I don't think, I was getting 200+ fps on CS:GO.

I'm planning to get a completely different build but I don't really have enough money to do that right now.

Don't think there's any hurry. Sept new stuff gonna get released so the stuff you look at now should go down in prices.

If you had 0% Gpu usage, you'd have less than 1 frame per second.

What are you monitoring with?

I was using task manager to monitor it. But earlier today I installed hwinfo looked at that and msi afterburner too so that i could see if any difference was there

So. There was no difference?

I'd wipe the drivers and re-install. (DDU)

Also run some Malwarebytes and Virus scanning just to play it safe.

I've done both of those today already no change.

Oh well I didn't know that or wouldn't have suggested it! :P

Can you give us a list of things you Did try? Then I'm not throwing out a bunch off suggestions but the increased post count is nice lol.

Uh, I kinda did say I did a ddu in my post 😂😂 but sure. I did that, reinstalled the drivers, did windows updates, updated my chipset drivers, virus scan, benchmarked haven, changed game settings to see if fps changed, that should be it if I can remember correctly.

I see. It didn't stand out because I tend to speed read and look for things that stand out like symptoms for example.

Have you cleared cmos

Tried a fresh installation of windows on a different drive

Tried a different video card

Try a different monitor

Increase power limit on the card

I can come up with some more later.
