so rn im in a storm and my pc was asleep because i didnt play anything on it and it went to sleep when all of a sudden the power went out and my pc shut down forcefully. i rushed over at the pc and unplugged it because i know its not the power outage that could hurt the pc its the power coming back on with a lot of power that hurts it. so i unplugged it and 5 seconds after the power comes back on and shuts back down again then  back on again. can my pc get hurt if the power shuts off while its asleep?

No, modern computers have protections for losing power. If you're afraid of the power turning back on with too much power you can get a surge protector.

It's the psu that matters here.

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.

That PSU is fine, but no consumer desktop PSU will protect from a power surge. Sudden loss of power? Yes, they can handle that.

As long as your surge protector isn't a bottom-of-the-barrel cheap one you're as protected as is reasonably practical for a consumer product.

Be sure to QUOTE or TAG me in your reply so I see it!
