High cpu usage modern warfare

I have an i5 8400 and a vega 56. The only thing i have running in the background is discord. My cpu usage runs at a minimum of 90% with jumps up to 100%. What is going on? when I last played the game about a month ago my cpu usage was at around 50%

Are you watching per core? There’s always one maxed out even on better cpus. 
Id also very settings on each startup.

I'm just looking at task manager which is at 100

Yea I mean did you right click and select per core? It’s a cpu intensive game, so I’d expect a cpu like that to struggle.

do you have lower/higher performance? else 100% on cpu and GPU means no bottleneck  unless you are throttling? what are you CPU speeds when its maxing out at a 100% cpu usage?

 

a bit more information could be helpout, get some HWinfo going and reset max/min while entering a match and take a look at max/min temp,clocks etc after.
