Google is your friend. You probably know more than we do because it's your laptop.

All I know is that sometimes the CPUs in laptops are BGA, meaning that they're soldered directly to the PCB and thus aren't replaceable or able to be upgraded.

It's a PGA motherboard, but the BIOS doesn't support CPUs better than dual core i5s..

EDIT: Your motherboard might support the i7-4702MQ....

Yeah Some laptops used to have sockets, such as Socket P, G1, G2 and finally G3....

After Haswell, everything became BGA.

There is no need XD ...

His laptop supports up to an i7-4702MQ which is a noticeable upgrade if he can find it for cheap...

But most of them are overpriced (200$) , thus it's not worth it.

@YuiLow make sure to see my edit.

Yea totally and if you managed to get the right bios

Support and maybe if the power brick had sufficient power delivery

But it would probably pop another problem

Though it sounds ironic, but laptops used to be built with some overhead, for example all i3, i5 and i7 models used to share same mobo and charger and cooling solution.

As long as all of them had an IGPU, and supported by BIOS, it was basically flawless...

But it required some deep digging..

A least u have and option and a CHANCE of upgrading.

Anyways we are getting off topic, and i agree with u.

It was HELL .

A Ryzen 9 4900HS with an rtx 2060.... it triggered me.

That thing would not bottleneck an RTX 2080 max Q.

I HATE legitimately HATE when they pair a coffee lake or a kaby lake i7 with a 1050ti or equivalent

Like I don't understand frame time will be terrible

After a couple of years there will be a Bottleneck

WHAT DO THESE COMPANIES THINK LMAO

That's why OEM stuff is overpriced....

Bad combos....

if u build a PC with the same specs it would be more expensive, but u can build one with more suitable parts with a higher bang for buck for the same cost and get much better performance....
