Hey

i have an i5 3550 running a 3.9GHz overclock on a giagbyte z77x d3h

my ram is corsair vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) ddr3 1600mhz and the model is - CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10

i ran a 200mhz over clock from 1600mhz to 1800mhz and system worked good and it was stable

when i overclocked it to 2133mhz i got a bios error so i switched it back to 1800 and it worked fine

and when i overclocked it to 2000mhz i just got a blue screen after the spinning circle on the windows boot screen

any ideas why a little higer clock is unstable?

Maybe it needs a bit more voltage or looser timings for that little +25-33% OC?

400mhz is not forever

Support for DDR3 2800(OC)/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules

from gigabyte's site
