I have a query

So basically i have a monitor and a laptop connected, i have clicked extend so that both screen are different. The laptop is the host, so whenever i click anything on my monitor, the actions are shown on my laptop. they are connected by a VGA USBC adapter. if i click on chrome on my monitor, it doesn't open up on it, it open up on my laptop.  how do i prevent this from happening? i want two different screens doing two different things.

Can you not just drag the window over to the other screen?

Remembering window position is a feature that developers need to support, so you'd probably want to direct the question at Google, they're the only ones that can address it.

 

You can try holding shift as you exit the program to try to force it. Results may be mixed, though.

You have couple options.

1. Set monitor main which you use the most and move all other stuff when you open them.
2. Close software in one monitor. It will open to same monitor when you next open it. This work for most. If you have need to open browser windows to both monitors constantly, I suggest using two browsers.
3. If there's software which just won't remember right monitor, you can use multimonitor software to force them opening in correct monitor.
