Upgrade Path help

Hello guys, i built a pc a couple of years ago and im getting a feeling that its getting old, so im planning to do small upgrades from time to time.

Current System Specs:

-CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K

-Mobo: Asus Z170M Plus/BR
-RAM: 2x8GB HyperX Fury 2133Mhz DDR4

-GPU: PNY Geforce GTX 1060 6GB

-PSU: Don't recall the exact model but its a 450W 80plus Bronze from CoolerMaster

 

Im in need of an upgrade path that is prepared for the next generation of games to run on 1080p on high/ultra settings with good fps. I kinda have an idea of where to start(PSU probably, most GPUs require more wattage) but i would appreciate some opinions.

Well, for starters, the main part that is holding you back is the GPU, you could upgrade it to a 2060 or an rx 5700 ideally. After a GPU upgrade you would probably need a cpu upgrade, and with that would come a new motherboard and some high frequency ram.

You may also need to upgrade your PSU to something like a 500-600W unit.

Yeah, i was actually planning for a 3600X, but my concern is since im doing small incrementations, what would be priority? Would my CPU be very bottlenecked my a new GPU? Im in need of help of what to buy first.

The cpu is still decent enough for modern gaming since most if not all games don't really take advantage of more than 4 cores on a cpu, at least for now that is. So ideally you could start with a GPU upgrade

Due to budget reasons im kinda bound to RTX 2060 or the RX 5600 XT GPU since the GPU prices are crazy high here in Brazil. Any suggestions?
