Pc under performing

Simbahh

Ok so I like to game and my pc is having major problems with games that It should be able to handle (frame rate wise) so basically I lime to play fortnite and I get around 60-90 frames per second and my specs being i5 9400f, rx580 16gb ddr4 ram, 1tb hdd, 250 gb ssd, 600 watt psu. Any solutions on my problem? Btw it’s not just fortnite it’s all games I play.

rx 580 overclocked to 1500 should barely get 60 fps on average on fortnite max graphics

Whats your resolution, graphics settings?

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

What settings and resolution are you running on? For 1080p Ultra that sound alright.

Ultra setting is for succers in most games. Barely see much difference with high/medium, but the performance is some times even halved.

I edit my posts more often than not

Did you have a look at your hermals?

Is anything unusually high or even downclocking to prevent overheating?

Open Task Manager or HWinfo in the background ant look out if anything is pegged to 100 % usage.

GPU at 100 % is normal with an uncapped framerate, as it always tries to output as much as it can, but if something else is at 100 % usage thats your problem.

My gpu is never at 100 % it’s always at like 30-50

Even though your room is cold, it could be a good idea to check how hot the GPU is actually getting.

Download MSI Afterburner it'll tell you how hot your stuff is running and there's an in game overlay so you can see it while you're playing. (there's other programs out there but this one works well)

It's also a good idea to check how much your CPU is being utilized.
