Budget (including currency): Roughly $1500 AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming, like online multiplayer games such as Apex and COD, maybe I'll use it for music and editing in the future.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): First build, I planned one in Pccasegear. Also need to know if the 3300X will go well with a 5600 XT.

I’d say ditch the cooler and use whatever the 3300 comes with, take the money from the cooler and buy an SSD

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Even for austrailia those prices seem inflated. the 3300x Is $120 USD, it should be around 180 for you, But what do I know lol. For the motherboard get the MSI b450 Tomahawk MAX. Otherwise the GPU is over 150 AUD over what it should be, so maybe find a cheaper one or wait the prices out. Ditch the cooler, and get a phateks p400a digital.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Ah.  At the bottom.  Then the cooler can go entirely.

Ditch the HDD, get a 1TB SSD. You can always add mass storage later. If you're really tight on budget, ditch the cooler as well.

Are you going to be gaming wirelessly? If so, I'd wait and grab a B550 board that has wireless AX.

Get an mATX motherboard. I think that one's an ITX, and there's no reason to be limiting yourself with expansion slots when it's unnecessary.

You can't simply transfer one currency into another. It doesn't take into account logistics, mark ups, duties, tariffs, etc etc.

I realize that. Still paying 35% more for some components seems pretty wonk from what I've seen, in general. Doesn't apply all the time

Haha, what? It's not 35% more. $25 is 14% of $180.

I realized that.  I'm talking about the gpu. About 30% more, my bad

Seems to be a pretty typical mark up for GPUs.
