This is my first PC that I would be building by myself, I want to go for a z490 that supports intel 10th gen. Anyone have good recommendations?

I'd harvest a few parts from the system you have now and sell the rest. You've got some pretty nice parts.

I'd also find a used graphics card (the 1070 should easily be had for that amount), and then upgrade to something when the 3000 series comes out.

Since you'll be waiting a few months you'll also have a little more in the budget.

 

Places to save money:

  • 1TB SSD
  • 16GB of RAM
  • Motherboard (I picked one with wifi AX, not sure if you use it)
