Hello guys ,

I am trying to create a hackintosh for first time . I figured it out somehow how to install Clover bootloader in the USB . Clover is booting properly . Now I can't find a single topic on web which can tell about the basics . Every post give instructions . No one is telling how to use clover . Now I don't know how to tell clover where are the things it has to boot . Where to put the MAC DMG extracted files . Help please .

Clover is a boot loader, it reads any disk that can be booted and then boot it up.

Now since you have the bootloader, time to make the install disk.

You need to "burn" that DMG file into a usb sticks for installation.

easiest way to do it is to use disk utility. in windows you can:

1. use mac disk format reader like transmac

2. run a VM mac and burn it from there.

Now after you burn it, plug the clover drive to pc, select clover drive as boot, plug the mac install disk, in clover select the mac install disk to boot.

Now just follow the instructions.

Do I need to keep Clover and Mac installer on separate drives ?

I created one Mac formated drive on my SSD , I Created burned Mac DMG on usb using transmac .

Now where am I supposed to put clover ?

I think this website will probably solve most of your problems:
https://www.hackintoshzone.com/files/file/1090-niresh-catalina/

I've used their Mojave installer on my laptop and it worked like a charm. All you need is in the dmg file you then "burn" onto a USB drive using TransMac.

Yep. No longer have to deal with finding the appropriate bootloader, custom kernel, and hacking together the installer yourself.

Even for AMD Ryzen is shockingly painless.

Maybe once Apple switches over to ARM, then we might have some issues.
