Advise needed

Hi All,

 

If you had to choose between a Nvidia 2060Super or AMD 5700XT

Price wise the 2060 is about £50 ish more expensive 

 

Which one would you choose?

2060 for NVENC if you are rendering videos or streaming. I'd say that 2060 is worth it only because of the shadowplay feature. Also the 2060 super has a little better performance.

5700XT is closer to a 2070S in terms of raw performance than it is to a 2060S. What the 2060S has going for it though is software, but if you don't really care about Shadowplay, NVENC and RTX then that's a non-factor.

Either way, I'd wait until September for Nvidia Ampere.

Currently got a 970GTX which is just managing lol, So will hold out till September

I would vote for the standard RX 5700 if you cannot wait. I still use a half dead GTX 970. Waiting for RDNA2.

TBh the 970 still holding strong, Was thinking of updating it but with what has been said think ill hold out abit longer lol

first of all 

shadow play isnt special 

and nvec is also not special because amd has something that is comparable in quality 

also the 2060 super is stronger then the 5700xt??? 

im sorry what ?!?! no the 5700xt is as good as the 2070 super 

unless your comparing it to the 2060
