Cable management?

Right, im having a tidy up of my desk, and im just wondering how do people cable manage their set ups? 

I have 3 monitors, my router is on my desk, and i also have a network switch. Any help would be appreciated. 

 

How do you hide your surge protectors, and monitors cables ect?

I have a box with router, power bar and excess cables. Rest are managed along monitor stands to that box and then off the table to case, ethernet connection and 2nd power bar handling some additional power.

Yes, I prefer to use velcro ties and try to organise the cables into “runs” with the ties before and after a cable splits off to it’s needed location. This used more ties but looks far neater.

 

You can also buy sleeves with lots of holes for this same purpose, I have one for the cables running from the TV on the wall and it looks great.

I have also used little clips at the edge of the desk to ensure mice/headphone cables don’t fall behind plus cages under desks or cable ties and stuck on loops can hold things out of sight.

 

Dont be afraid to pull it all out and start again if needed, be patient, try things and use the features of things like tables etc to aid the runs.
