so is there any software programs or games or settings or benchmarks or anything like that that are recommended when first setting up a new PC? im just curious as to what everyone puts and does first on their PC when they set it up at first

download basic software off ninite (chrome, foobar, Foxit PDF, Paint.NET etc..)

then download msi afterburner for gpu overclocking

hw monitor for temperature monitoring

You don't need any stress testing. I tend to run various programs to campare how much performance has gone up since last upgarde/OC. Temp monitoring software are pretty much only thing I can recommend.
