Yes. How much... very little.

You'll get a performance bump in everything from the fact that applications (and games) swap less to disk and they can keep more stuff in 8 GB of memory so everything will be snappier and smoother.

 

Should probably look into what processors your laptop supports ... upgrading to an i5 cpu first (could be cheap, under 50$) may give you more performance in games that can work on that integrated graphics..
