So lately I've been having save errors on almost every game I have played, starting with Alien Isolation my saves were fine and had no trouble but I got to a point where the game would give me an error saying that there's an error with my save file, I tried restarting my pc and to no avail. Secondly I've been having the same issues with Forza Horizon 4, I would get a lot of errors when upgrading a car and saving things, most of the time they fail and I have to restart the app for it to work. Is there an issue with my hard drive or is it client based? please help as I do not want to start any new games and have them error out on me again.

CrystalDiskInfo and check the SMART info/state of your hard drive.

Is the hard drive the only drive in your system?

No, I have a 120gb boot drive ssd for my os and a 1tb hard drive for me to store programs, photos, files and games on. I have both games installed on the hard drive.

Are the save games stored on the SSD or hard drive? Are any of the drives close to full? Check the SMART with CrystalDiskInfo for both drives then, just to be sure.

I am not sure where are they exactly stored, I tried to do some digging but the only thing I could find were the base game files on my hard drive, my hard drive has about 200gb of storage free meanwhile my ssd only has about 20gb for some reason even tho I don;t have much downloaded onto it. Will do.
