Monitor Not Displaying Correctly

Ickytnt

So recently I got a usb 3.0 to vga adaptor, it claims 1920x1080 at 60 hertz but when I crank the resolution above  1440 x 900 it glitches out only showing half of the display and having a solid 2 second response time. Before someone asks me, yes I am using a usb 3.0 port and yes I do have the correct drivers installed. I will post a photo of the display in the comments in a few seconds from my phone and stay active for any questions

all i can really think of is that your monitor has deteriorated due to age.

It’s worked fine with other computers, I think I’ll just use my old monitor
