i recently got a dell optiplex 7010 sff with 230 gb of hard drive storage after downloading a few games ive realised 230 gb is a very small amount so i wanted to expand my storage but i only have a single hard drive space thats already being used and no ssd's.

are external storages okay for usage like an internal harddrive to just store games on and play them?

or will i have to take out my 230 gb hard drive and replace it with something like a 2 tb and redownload everything

Also have you considered adding more internal hdd? I think you can store a ssd in the optical bay for boot, and a hdd in the hdd bay.

there is no space for a second hard drive and i dont have an optical bay its a small form factor pc almost no space for anything

yes i know thats an optical drive but i dont see how its going to be possible to fit an ssd and another hardrive

you can replace the optical drive with a ssd. Then put a bigger hdd in ther normal spot.

Or just put a 2tbhdd in the optical bay.

i looked up a video and know what you mean now if i buy a second harddrive frame that fits into the optical drive houseing then i can install a second hard drive i thought you wanted me to just plug in a hard drive and leave it unattached to anything
