Using iPhone as an audio recorder

Hey all

 

Just sat here trying to find out some info on this, basically I was thinking about using my iPhone as a separate audio recorder if I am using the gopro to shoot high speed stuff, just so I have a clean version if the audio from the camera gets weird when I start to edit the footage, slowing it down etc, iOS has the voice memo app on there and I can send those files to a drop box or to iCloud and I can pull them from there, any one know of any other options as for travelling as far as I am aware there is no options with iPhones to plug in the usb cable and pull files direct from the device if there is no internet where I am at the time?

 

Or am I over thinking this whole thing and should just separate the audio and video channels in premier before messing with the frame rates lol

That second one, you're overthinking it.

 

But if you do want to step up the audio game see if you can try a Zoom H1N, really cheap bit of gear but from everything I know about the brand it will blow both your iPhone and GoPro out of the water.

I'll keep the zoom in mind, I don't think I need anything like that right now, its just a hobby for facebook and stuff like that, just while I'm sat here having ideas thought I'd use the time to better myself and went down a rabbit hole
