normal temps?

Just got a new PC! specs are rtx 2080 super ryzen 5 3600 cooled with ATC800 rgb gigabyte cooler and 16gb ram ddr4 3000mhz. my idle temps are about 40-45 and temps in games max i saw was like 76. is that normal? bear in mind i have 3 front fans and 1 rear fan and the cooler has 2 side fans so i was wondering if my airflow is good and like my temps r ok. also im running at about 4ghz-4.1ghz i never reach 4.2 unfortunately but i think i have to manually set it myself or something.

No normal temps are 80C, what witchcraft did you pull to get them 4C cooler than normal!

i was running fortnite and it actually ran hotter than games like ac origins and rust. again my pc is new but are you sure 80 is the ok? and is 45 ok for idle?

Avg temp in a house is 30C, so something heating up to run at 45C is pretty good, and chip damage doesn’t start until 110C

one more thing. i set cpu ration thingy for oc to 42.00 so basically 4.2ghz and im not reaching it. why is that? i have good temps?

Raising clocks doesn't raise temps. Raising voltages does. If you leave voltages to auto, they will raise to meet more demand from CPU. I would recommend that you learn what overclocking is before doing it. Wrongly done overclocking can and will lead to high temps, instability and other issues.
