Gpu fans going up to 1000rpm and back down to 0 every few seconds in desktop no load

Im in desktop, gtx 1070ti strix, drivers up to date, but fans go up instantly to 1000+- rpm randomly every 3-5 secs and im just on desktop with hwinfo censors running and OCCT (not running a test)

Try uninstalling the GPU driver using DDU and then reinstalling the newest driver.

 

Do you use the asus strix software to control the fan? It might be a extremely aggressive fan curve.

The card is jumping between 59°- 60° i guess.

The card is probably consistently jumping over and going down from the 0 rpm temp just like what @Praesi said
