hi , i just found at work an old abandoned PC unit that looks to be AMD and i took it apart and in this pics you may see what i found and im not sure how to find info about them as theres not much shown written on them , can you guys help me out or point me in the right direction ? thank you

What are you trying to find out? The top pictures are SDRAM and appear to be 64Mbs, looks like an old Athon CPU, and the card is firewire. All of which is completely obsolete now days

Motherboard is AMD Socket A (462 pin) ECS. 

Basic motherboard K7VMM, limited overclocking on the VIA chipset. The cpu may hold some value. Would like to see a clear picture of that.

 

The memory belongs to older hardware yet. Maybe Slot A or Slot 1 processor boards. Something like that. 

 

And lastly an old Fire Wire pci card.

 

Neat stuff. 

 

Edit: Oh cool, ECS still has a little support there with 2x bios updates.

Run of the mill in frequency. Some chips where faster, up to the 2400+ which was released in 1998 or 99'. That chip was 2.0ghz I think there was a 2600+ as well. Not sure if they went higher up. I have some 1999 chips here. They made gazillions of em'

It is extremely difficult to get a top spot with these chips. This is about where serious overclocking started for a lot of people. Desktops where starting to become common place in the home.

They made too many to have any value really, especially since yours is far from the highest clocked one so it doesnt have any binning (i.e. silicon quality) advantage either.

the board could hold more value as they die more often than CPUs, though this one is again, one of the worse boards so dont expect too much.

Call a local scrap yard. Some pay for electronics. Best to save a box or two to have some weight if you come across old stuff often enough.

Best Buy might recycle the stuff.
