Hi everyone,

I was sick of hearing my loud fans that came with the case so I decided to upgrade to a pair of Be quiet pure wings 2. When I did this, I realized that my case has spots for fans almost everywhere on it, and I had one more fan slot on the motherboard, I tried figuring out the optimal placement and decided that I should switch place on my case walls, the one that's to the back of the motherboard is vented and had holes for mounting the fan but I couldn't fit a fan in there because it would hit the back of the motherbard. So I switched place on the walls and put the vented one with the fan facing the gpu instead, I tuned it in the bios so it would only go off when it gets very hot so I didn't have to deal with the noise. It then hit me that the vents were right on the other side of the cpu and maybe it was like that for a reason. Do you guys think it would be fine to keep it like this? I've monitored the temps under some light load and it seems to be fine, I just wanted to check if there was a special reason why it was like that in the first place or if I should be fine.

Unfortunately I'm not at home currently but I have a

carbide 200r for my case

CPU cooler is the stock intel one, although I'm waiting for an upgrade,

my GPU is a msi gtx 970

I think I've found out that the case was actually supposed to have the vent like I have it now, and maybe it was assembled with the sides switched or maybe 16 year old me had no clue what he was doing?? Here's what it looks like on the product page

1 front in, 1 rear out should be the default. Rest depends what you want to cool most. For example both side fans could be intake and one more fan as top exhaust. If you want to fill all spots. But you'll be good with just front and rear fans.

The ventilation being on the correct side should help cooling since there would be more access to fresh air.

What are load temps with the side panels on the correct side?
