Hi,

Been looking at these for an upcoming 2950x build. No one lists compatibility, why not? Is there an issue with the X399 chipset for these timings? Would these work?

QVL for the board lists the CMU32GX4M4C3000C15 kit (Vengeance). This runs at the same speed ratings and voltages, I can only conclude that it's a lack of testing. Unless I'm missing something about compatibility of X399/2nd gen thridripper with dominators?? Sounds weird, but sounds weird for several grand makes me want to question first, pay later.

Bonus points, kinda curious what these look like benched if anyone has results/links.

Specs Otherwise if you're curious:

Asus X399-A

2950X

Quadro 4000 RTX

CMT32GX4M4C3000C15 (4x8GB kit)

970 Evo Plus 500GB

240mL AIO

Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic

Memory compatibility lists on mother boards are very vague and not very true due to the nature of the manufacturer not being able to test every possible dimm out there

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

I don't know about memory timings but the Quadro RTX cards are not popular among gamers so benchmark scores will be hard to find.

Exactly, little tricky to gauge the performance having never played with one in person. And ofc, why would a gamer pay 1800AUD for a card that performs worse/same in games than cheaper 20- series?? LOL

Makes sense, especially when the difference between multiple SKUs is just lighting and heat spreader designs....

Pretty much since they run the same firmware and the bios and it is just a different looking uefi for the most part
