So I have had windows 10 installed now for months im up to date on all windows updates that's important so you don't ask me if i am. That being said i came home the other day and booted up my PC and before it brought me to the login screen the system ran me through some of the lets get you started screens again like the ones when you first install windows which i though was odd and though something must be wrong with my PC. When i logged in though everything was normal and everything was still installed. Im wondering if anyone can tell me why this might have happened or what triggers that sort of weird occurrence. attached is an example of what im talking about.

Your PC either went through a major feature update, or hadn't yet triggered the formal "Get even more out of Windows" screen yet. Are you using a local account or a Microsoft account to sign into your PC?

Hey there. The "Get even more out of Windows" screen used to only appear after a clean install of Windows 10 or starting up a new PC, but I think Microsoft changed it not-so recently to start erm... "nagging" users. It shows up "occasionally" if you don't disable it.

If you want to disable it:

Spoiler
  • Access Settings.
  • Select "System".
  • Navigate to "Notifications & Actions".
  • Uncheck the "Show me Windows welcome experience after updates and occasionally when I sign in to highlight what's new and suggested".
