Which PSU is better for my build?

Od1sseas

Don't recommend me any other PSU. I'm on a very tight budget and those are pretty much the only options.

I want to know which is better between those 2

Thermaltake Litepower 450W (Single 12V Rail/33A=396W Total) 37$

CoolerMaster MasterWatt Lite 400W (Single 12V/30A=360W Total) 40$

(Corsair is expensive. The VS450 only starts at 46$)

Specs:

Ryzen 5 1600 AF 100$

Gigabyte A320 S2H 47$

Patriot Viper Steel 2X8GB 3200Mhz CL16 70$

MSI GTX 1650 SUPER VENTUS XS OC 172$

Crucial P1 500GB NVME M.2 SSD 61$

Aerocool Split 34$

Total: ~520$ with PSU

Not a good idea to make the PSU, the cheapest component in the build. It protects and runs the setup.

It does, i agree but those are not some unknown oem brand PSUs. I'm sure it would be fine.

Doesn't the Ryzen 1600AF come with a CPU cooler?  So you could save that money and apply it towards a PSU instead?

It does. I'm gonna use the stock cooler. I just want to know which of those 2 PSUs that i mentioned on my post is better

Sorry I confused the Aerocool Split as a CPU cooler not a case.

I am not comfortable recommending either one to be honest.  Even though they are name brands does not mean high quality/durability.   The PSU is critical to the system and if it fails, it can destroy parts along with it.

Brand names does not equal quality. You are cheaping out in the most important part of your build.

Judging PSUs, or any other component, based on brand makes no sense. Would you expect an MSI GT710 to be fast just because it's a good brand?

Then it's perfectly capable of 4K120FPS Gaming

Yet you only spent an extra $17 to go from a very bad OEM PSU to slightly less bad branded PSU. You could have cut down on other parts and gotten a Cx450 for an extra $9.
