2 hours ago I was using my pc and everything was fine, until I heard a buzzing noise come from it. I wqs under the impression that something is wrong with my psu (Gigabyte b700h) which is not the best unit out there. I gave my case a lite hit and the sound stopped. After a couple o minutes the sound came back and by opening the case I noticed its 1 of the 2 gpu fans. I tried to hit it again but no luck. Launched MSI Afterburner and the temps on idle are 34-37 and they used to be 30-32. What should I do? RMA it? The buzzing sometimes stops and other times comes back.

Thanks in advance!!

P. S the gpu is a 2060 super AMP edition

Use your finger to stop each of the fans to find out which one it is. Then, well, look at it. If you see it clipping something you can easily remove, fix it. Otherwise - RMA. You can also try manually spinning the fan when the PC is turned off, that can sometimes make the problem clearer

Oh and stop hitting your PC

I am sending this from the pc right now. The buzzing noise seems to have disappeared. I dont know how but I had a Heaven benchmark for 10 minutes on pretty heavy settings (Capped fps the card was averaging 63 - 67 C while unlocked 79-80 C but the place where I leave is at around the 30+ C ambient) Also the card has a blue led that indicates everything is fine with the card.I also reconnected the 6 pin connector and I think the problem went away, but that has me thinking about buying a new psu. Can you confirm if these temps are ok btw? I have a 60hz screen and I dont think I will buy a 144hz or more fps display because I did not really buy the card for the whole 300+ fps in esport titles but more for the future proofing of beeing able to play on high settings everything within the next 3 - 4years

Yeah, that's fine. 80 °C is high-ish, but it's not going to damage anything and is expected under such a heavy load. Hell, with 30+ ambient it's pretty good

Well it has 2 silent wings 3 120mm under it (Corsair Crystal 280x) but yeah and with vsync on 70 is the max on most of my games

Coil whine, happens when running full bore / high fps

Nothing you can do about it

But it was doing it when idle. My concern is the psu because if I remember correctly it was fine with my 1050 ti no problem and then the 2060 usper came around (ofc higher tdp) and the psu is audible. Also the noise stopped when I span the fan with my finger (when the pc was off) and when I changed my 6pin (just reconnected it)
