Hey guys! I am planning my first watercooling rig and wanting some input on the parts

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=268247&action=wish_lists

This is what I have come up, I have done my best to make the parts fit together with the fittings and tubing and stuff

also a question is it possible to fit this rad in the top of a 750D? Pretty confident I can but just want to confirm I can :)

Thanks for any input! But please reply if you are intending to help :)

Are the parts compatible?

Any things to reconsider?

<3333 thanks again! :D

I don't know much about water cooling, I'm more of an air cooling guy, but I'll try my best.

Yeah the 750d fits anything up to a 280mm and 360mm rad in the top, so that 240mm rad will definitely fit.

If I were you though, unless you're looking to cool your GPU's as well, I'd go with an all-in-one like a H100i or something.

In the 750d though, I'd probably get an NZXT Kraken X60 (280mm), Corsair H110 (also 280mm) or a Swiftech H320 (360mm) to take full advantage of the 750d's mounts up the top. It's a lot easier and probably cheaper too.

Hope that helps :)

If you're just water cooling the CPU then save money and get a H100 all in one. Apart from that, the parts you have chosen will work fine.

Yes it would fit but why do you just intend of making a custom loop just for the cpu?

I recommend watercooling your gpu's aswell if not you should go with and AIO

hmm in that case thank you, it is significantly cheaper, any idea if I am able to get the kraken x60 in push pull as a top mount in the 750D? Thanks for your inputs! :D <333

I'd advise against Plexi blocks [Phobya UC-2LT, Raystorm,...] as they can burst when the coolant gets warm [= increased pressure]. Had this happening before.

-> Can recommend AquaComputer Kryos. Awesome.

Don't buy colored coolant. Get a Biocide and or Killcoil  and use DI water. [You'll find that at your grocery store for close to nothing]

Don't get a bayreservor. Bitch to fill and bleed. Get a D5 pump + a reservoir. [Tube, clip on, what ever]

Get compression fittings. Close to impossible for them to leak.

Don't overtighten the fittings on either end, you can damage your stuff and make it leak.

You forgot your fans.

Alphacool Nexxxos are full copper rads. Very nice ones and about the same price.

Don't rush your build, you gonna regret it.

Buy about 2x the fittings you think you need. You'll be glad you did. Never fits as planned ^^

Isolation mats for the D5 pump make it inaudible.

Pump always below Res.

Don't a a premix liquid, just get distilled water + biocide or a killcoil and buy some coloured tubing instead. It might not look as good but you'll thank me in a years time when you are not asking how to remove the dye from the inside of everything after it coated your system. You'll probably use more than 1L in a loop although it does depend on how much tubing you use.

The radiator needs fans.

You need hose clips for the barbs.

My first watercooling build in a 900D with a 480mm radiator, CPU block, 2 GPU blocks, MCP655 pump and a 250ml cylinder reservoir and all that used up less then 1L of coolant

The parts are compatible. Some clamps would be smart to have just in case and a PWM fan hub or fan splitters. No sense using color tubing with color coolant. I know those fans are popular and everyone is like Corsair SP bla bla bla but there are better choices.....

eh forgot to mention I am an aussie. I don't think I will be doing a watercooling build right off the bat, what I think I might do, is start off with a nzxy x60 kraken. Save up the money for this exact wishlist. excluding gpu mount etc. then once I get the parts. Run the CPU under water, use a kraken g10 and my x60 to to cool the GPU. I really appreciate your help buddy! But those options are are not really in the store I used to make the wishlist. Thanks again bud! :D <333

Didn't know you were only able to purchase from that site. The Bitfenix Specter Pro PWM, Noctua NF-F12 and the Cougar is on the site and i saw some GELID wings they are also good for radiators, well some of them are good for radiators. The Kraken X60 is a good choice for the GPU but i think you would be better of with a cheap water cooling kit and then you could add the GPU water block after. My choices are these....

  1. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_160_45&products_id=23457
  2. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=207_160_45&products_id=24227

Those two are better performance and bang for your dollar.

If I were you I'd just go for a pull config, there's not much benefit to push/pull, but pull is slightly better than push and looks better imo.  No worries dude :)

1 Barb Fitting only? Well you will have a bad time :D Just kidding.

I'd recommend you getting colored tubing and using distilled water, this reduces you chances of having a faulty loop.

Also, get yourself some silver springs / kill coils and (I'm not kidding) use a drop of antifreeze mixture in your loop, this keeps your loop junk free and make it easier to bleed :D

I personally do not like premixed coolants at all :D

Rest looks good to me (if you have your reservoir :3).

been changing a lot of stuff due to pricing and things, I want to do the thing that comes with everything inside however I need to find a case that supports 5.25inch bays, in which the H440 doesn't thinking about the Switch 810 now. Update in a couple of minutes :D Thank you for your input <333

My favorite watercooling case which is in around the same pricepoint is the xigmatek elysium, love the buildquality and the looks of it + you have tons of space for watercooling stuff :3

If you want to pay 100 bucks more, i'd go with the 900D from Corsair, just because it looks slick. :3

No it doesn't, crap. The switch 810 would fit your needs but IMO i think you can find a newer case.

yeah changed back to the 750D xD
