PSU clearance questions

KutuluKid

So, long story short, PSU looks way better mounted facing down, no opening on bottom of case but PSU is about a .5 inch from floor. No issues but bottom  of the PSU(facing up) is warm to touch. Is that normal?

It looks better?

What PSU?  What case?

You should have it fan up if there's no intake at the bottom of the case.

Interesting.  I think the MasterWatt 650 PSU fan grill looks pretty cool.

Anyway... Everyone has their own tastes in aesthetics.

In an Antec 300, you CAN NOT AND SHOULD NOT mount the PSU with the fan pointing down.   1/2 inch isn't going to cut it.

I actually did mount a PSU upside down in one of those once, but I used a 5" hole saw and cut a big hole in the bottom to line up with the PSU fan.
