So you said it wouldn't boot when you increased DRAM voltage and you're running it on Auto now?

Is it hard to get things in the Philippines?

Yes. I enabled XMP, Disabled MFB and leave the voltage at auto. Right now, our place in the Philippines is in lockdown so I really can’t go out. Also because of the rule of 7 days - Return/Refund Policy.

No idea. That's all on him those decisions.

I just try to point in the right direction for a better experience.

Since he's looking to get some performance, he needs a different kit of memory.

Or

We could help him target better performance at 3200mt/s, But I have a feeling that memory will still be difficult to work with even at that speed.

I’m willing to do the latter if you have time to help me :D I don’t wanna remove that CMOS battery again, gives me headache lol.

Generally if there is a failure to boot from memory tweaking, the board will attempt settings 3 times and post on the forth in "safe mode".

So if you wait long enough, the above process can take a few minutes, and sometimes just a restart can get the post count restarted. So wait at least 180 seconds.

Start off at what you can post at 3200mhz.

Post screen shots of the timings and what changes you made to accomplish it.

We would proceed from there.

Memory tweaking must be tested to ensure stability. It will not be a 1 2 3 deal.

Yeah I’ve waited long enough yesterday I think. What happened is after I set the timings, computer rebooted, PC booted and just stays black. So what should I do first?

Set my freq to 3200mhz in bios - read thru thaiphoon burner and export to dram calculator? (Sorry I have no idea about this)

Taiphoon buner wont help.

We will only change the primary timings.

Just put in 3200mhz and leave everything on auto except the memory voltage you can change that to 1.350v

Okay so here's what I did, since it was set to 3600mhz - XMP enabled before.

Booted to BIOS restore default settings > save and restart > booted up to bios again, set ram freq to 3200mhz.

How do I screenshot the timings?

That's good.

The timings that are 22, you want to manually change to 20. Then restart and test. Hope they go.

I don't have a mic unfortunately.

My target for you is 16-18-18-18

But need to start small because you don't have an easy way to clear cmos.

Work your way down the timings slowly.

If you have an old case switch, you can plug that into the cmos jumpers and have a remote cmos switch. ;)

I meant not mic, we can just chat over there to have faster comms.

So my computer successfully booted up at

18-20-20-20.

Should I also leave my voltage on auto?

Good.

DL app OCCT and run linpack. Select high amount of RAM I usually do about 12GB. Can check logical cores for a cpu beat down or leave unchecked will run cpu 50%. Loading the memory is the test though.

If it passes a good hour, try next timings 16-16-16-16 and test.

Alright will update you later.

Also the shop where I bought it said they can replace it, with the SAME BRAND and MODEL.

But I'm doubting my self to remove Dark Rock Pro 4 since I have no idea how to remove the outer fan

Sry. At wotk. Reaponses will be delayed as a result.

I went back to 16-18-18-18.
I tried 16-16-16-16 and computer wont boot. Motherboard has the red light led steady (even if i waited for like 5 mins. Had to go through the cmos battery again. I’m not sure why the screwdriver method doesn’t work)

Tomorrow I’ll have to exchange my ram with the same model and brand. Will update you after I install it :D

The memory I linked you is the same speed just a much higher bin of samsung B-Die.

The same sticks are going to give you the same problems though. You may just be wasting time there.....
