hey guys, what type of ram i would need for gaming, desing programs and video editing to have the best performance?

buy RAM that has maximum frequency available nowadays :)

16gb is fine for all of the things you have listed but i would go for faster RAm like 1866mhz+ for the other programs

CAS 9 1866mhz is what I usually aim for.

If you're doing a lot of rendering etc I'd go higher. Just stay with the lowest CAS.
