SSD for game drive

I started installing Halo 2 this morning and realized I only have 13GB left on my main SSD. I've decided it's time to buy a second SSD for use as a game drive. I've always been partial to Samsung but their 1 TB 860 EVO is $170, while Seagate sells a 1TB SSD for $110. As I will be using this solely for game installations, what is the best option?

170$ for the 1Tb 860 EVO is a no brainer.

M.2 might be ok. I have an Asux Crosshair VI hero so I could probably add a second M.2 drive with an adapter.
