Budget (including currency): 2 500 USD / 2 300 EUR / 10 500 PLN

Country: Poland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Android Studio, Android emulator, VS Code, docker Games: Doom Eternal, Anno 1800, GTA 5...

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I'm looking for an upgrade to my work/gaming pc. I'm doing android development on Linux and some gaming from time to time.Typical dev workflow consists of running multiple android system emulators, Android Studio which is very RAM hungry and on top of it I've got Gradle build system that is CPU heavy for compiling the code.

Because of the system, Nvidia is a no go for me, it suuucks so much on Linux. I'm running GTX 770 currently. If I could I'd go for something more performant than 5700 XT.

Rest of the components like peripherals and some disks I'll scrap from the old system.

As for games, I want to play comfortably on 1440p and only 60Hz for now. My monitor is due for upgrade also, but I guess that must wait.

FWIW, I'm running a 2060 Super on Arch without any problems, so you might want to look into a 2070S or 2080S if you really want more GPU horsepower and don't mind the proprietary drivers.

Thanks a lot for replies and suggestions!

Prices in Poland aren't too good. Linked PCPartPicker is filling the whole budget. I could save some bucks on german Amazon as you said but nothing too crazy, around 100 USD.

I just can't go with Nvidia, no support for Wayland and buggy drivers are killing me right now.

What motherboard would you recommend? Something like Aorus eliter or lower? I've never done any OC but wanted to try some with the new build. Will downgrading motherboard limit my possibilities?

Another thought crossed my mind. The plan was to upgrade the rig now because it just has higher priority and in 6-10 month upgrade the monitor. But maybe I should switch the target and go with some fancy 144Hz UWQHD monitor right now and upgrade the rig in fall 2020 to catch next generation radeons and ryzens. Maybe then they'll have some competition for RTX XX70/XX80.
