Dell T320 server chasis compatibility

Hello all,

I am new to Dell Servers,

I have a question, are Dell T320 server chasis compatible with any newer non dell server motherboard? I've read that the PSUs are not that compatible but that could be changed.

And I don't know if the backplanes for the SAS drives are only compatible with, for example, adaptec SAS cards, or if not if there is another backplate that can be fit in order to use hot swap SAS drives.

Its a somewhat custom form factor, so it won't fit a atx board without some modding. Things like front panel connectors aren't normal, and screw mounts seem non normal. You can probably put a normal board in with some dremeling and making a custom front panel connector.

The sas backplanes should work with any sas cards.
