Computer Specs:

Ryzen 5 3600

RX 5700XT

ROG STRIX B450-F

M.2 NVMe SSD (Corsair MP510)

Question: Does my SSD in any way limit/bottleneck my GPU's performance. I have no idea how this works and am new to the computer scene.I was just curious about how it works. Ive looked online and some people say that it steals bandwith from SATA ports. Help would be much appreciated. :)

If you are using the top M.2 slot, there is nothing negative happening to the slot the videocard is in. The top M.2 indeed shares bandwidth with SATA 5/6. So it's one or the other.

The bottom M.2 slot does share bandwidth with the top PCIE x16 slot, so if you use that; the top PCIE slot will run at x8.

As far as I remember, that does not have a negative impact on the videocard (I say as far as I know, because I know all PCIE 3.0 cards have no difference on x8, but not sure how the PCIE 4.0 5700XT react).

TL;DR:

If you use the top M.2: nothing negative to the PCIE slot, cant use SATA 5/6 anymore.

Bottom M.2: GPU PCIE slot now running at x8. I think no difference?
