So i recently built my first pc and put it all together (with some issues I fixed along the way). I have an MSI b450 gaming pro carbon ac, Ryzen 7 2700x 8c 16t , gigabyte radeon rx 5700 xt OC 8G, 32GB vengance pro 3200MHz DDR4 and 850x gold+ PSU. Ive tried overclocking the ram and it won't boot, and when I do that the CPU light illuminates. Resulting in the pc running but not posting. I know i can pretty much overclock everything but cant get past the ram issue. If someone could help me it'd be much appreciated.

my ram is 2x16 and its running at 2133 MHz at 1.216v, and not too sure what you mean by timings. but yes ive been following guides to no avail though. Ive only tweaked the voltages a little since i didnt want to ruin anything. and then once i get that issue resolved my cpu can run 4.3 GHz but want to get past this issue first.

edit: okay so the timings on my ddr4 are 16-18-18-36

but then my 2 profiles are different as one reads 2933MHz and 3200MHz

Have you set the DOCP profile in the bios to run it at 3200?

It is not really clear what you are trying to achieve?

yes ive tried adjusting the frequency to 3200 and it just shows a black screen.

and im just trying to run my pc at better specs

yes they're in the right slots its only when i try to overclock where things start to malfunction. so I was able to get it to run at 2933 at ~1.2v but now im faced with clocking the cpu

If you're going with DOCP the voltage should automatically be set higher.
At least my RAM ( Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz ) needed 1.35v for 3000 Mhz and now 1.37v for 3133 Mhz.
It's not always guaranteed that you'll hit the 3200, but at least 3000Mhz should be okay with the right voltage.
