Keyboard stops typing overnight

Third day in a row this has happened. New PC, corsair K95 keyboard. When I go to work and come back, I can't type anything. The backlight is still working, but no buttons register. Is this a motherboard issue?

i have this issue alot. on my corsair, i have to force firmware image update in icue when this happens, and it comes back. this will erase color schemes, and macros though..

I just got the K95 Platinum XT myself last week and no issues so far, but again, its only been a week. My guess is the OPs firmware is out of date.

it didn't happen at first for like a year, now it occurs about once a month or so. not sure what causes it, only what fixes it for me.

yes, in icue you can update the firmware. Check to see if you have any updated firmwares available.

It said it had latest version, but I forced update.

Alright, so then its likely the same issue with I have had in the past and have with my wifes Scimitar RGB mouse. Just bad firmware from Corsair and need to unplug and re-plug it in sometimes after a cold boot.

What is a cold boot? I don't turn off my PC if that's what you mean
