I recently upgraded from a GTX 960 to a GTX 1660 super. My 960 ran at 5% usage while idle but my 1660 super runs at 34%?! In task manager desktop window manager and runtimeproces for client-server use the most of my GPU. Both like 12%. But there is no way to shut them down.
Does anyone know how to fix this?\
Thanks and stay safe!

Wait a bit for them to finish it's probably a windows update (alot of them happen frequently) if it stayed like this monitor your usage through a different software and check (because task manager isn't always correct)

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

Thanks for your reply! I thought it would be something like that. I also used MSI Afterburner to monitor it and it shows the same GPU usage.

GPU at idle sounds like malware... I don't think windows update would use it, but haven't done one for years...

Run msconfig and check what autostarts on your PC in services too.

Very unlikely it's malware

But just to be safe do monitor what starts up

I allready checked it... All programs like intel and google. Nothing strange.

What service is using your GPU load?Go tickle under + and report back us processes...and name of service too.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

It's in my first post.... Desktop window manager and runtimeproces for client-server.

I found a possible fix for the Desktop window manager. I shut down Walpaper engine and now it uses a lot less.

I'm still having high GPU usages on runtimeproces for client-server.
