Building a new work PC

Hello everyone! =] I watch Linus tech tips a lot on youtube but I just now joined the forums!

 

So I got this new job at a hosting company as a Support Tech.

 

My job will consist of answering tickets and helping people on TeamSpeak.

 

My current PC is a bit overkill for just answering tickets and was wondering what everyone thinks of the one I plan on making just for the job.

 

Now this PC is NOT for gaming. I will not even be getting on Facebook on it, I will only use it for work. 

 

The OS I will choose is Ubuntu. It is good enough for what I need and light enough for the low end specs.

 

Below is an image of the parts I plan on buying. I want a 60GB SSD because that is more than enough space and I just want it to boot / load things faster.

I chose a cheap PSU but it comes from a brand I know and trust. Also has a 2 year warranty so it seem fine to me. Might change it though later. Want to keep the wattage low

I like to build it all myself. Plus I could easily upgrade some of the parts in the future and use it for other purposes.

 

I was thinking about the Gigabyte Brix but that cost way too much and is overkill.

True. A NUC would just be way, way easier if you ever had to transport it. Just toss it into you bag.

This PC will be right next to my main one. They will actually be sharing the same monitors. While I am working I will turn off my main PC and use the work one. It is a fulltime job and requires me to be on constantly during the shift. (other than breaks)
