Coolant spilt on PSU

iAntiquary

I spilt some coolant on my power supply while I was flushing the system. The PSU was on, but the system isn’t and it was only a little bit - but I heard some sizzling. Everything is off now what should I do.

Update: I turned the PSU back on and I don’t hear anymore fizzling - I assume it was just the coolant evaporating and now it’s evaporated? Can anyone give me tips? My coolant is “EK cyrofuel clear”

That's a major yikes.

If it's a high-quality PSU with lots of safeties, then it should probably still be safe to use, but I'd wait a long time before using again to make sure the coolant is totally gone.

Probably your psu is fine. can you see coolant everywhere?. I do not think that it evaporated.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

It wasn’t a lot, just a drizzle - but I can’t see any liquid no
