Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I already have 240hz, I have peripherals, this is my first build, hence no part list. I will buy my parts sometime in the next 4 months.

If you're not buying now, wait till you are actually buying. Prices and available hardware changes a LOT in 4 months!

Now is also a bad time to buy due to COVID and everyone being home causing shortages and price increases for things like PSUs.

I assume you will be playing competitively with 1080p 240Hz Ultra. However it is not a good time to buy parts now due to Covid-19 and prices are very volatile and uncertain. Thus, maybe when Covid-19 ends, Ryzen 4th Gen may be out. However, I have compiled parts as maybe this may be a good setup for esports. I am assuming you are not overclocking and only gaming. This builds focus on speed, not Ray Tracing

In that case, IMO, you should wait before starting to plan.

There's gonna be the Intel 10 series and possibly new nVidia GPUs by that point. I'd wait till then and come back.
