WiFi Card + Upgraded Router VS 100-150ft of Cat5e

I just purchased a Wifi card as I couldn’t get a signal. I’m currently using the regular ISP provided Router. I do plan on upgrading to this

I did tests on my internet

Ethernet (4ft Cat5)
75 download & 10 upload

Wifi within 4 feet of box
25/10

Wifi in my office
6/10

As you can see, it’s trash in my office. **It’s definitely not ideal for me to run Ethernet cable** throughout the apartment. I rent it. I would have to go along the wall, around a door frame, down the stairs, along the ceiling (along the ground would be nearly impossible and add an extra 50ft). Living room to dining room to kitchen is an open space. At the other near the patio is where the office is.

I can run the cable but should I just invest in a better router? Is it worth it? I need good/great internet. How difficult is it to run cable considering what I have to do? *I cannot go through the walls*

(See picture below for an idea. Internet Router is upstairs and not able to move it)

If you're in need of a reliable, solid, functional wireless network, I highly encourage you to consider a UniFi network from Ubiquiti.

It took me a couple of years of wading through, ultimately what I found others to be saying as true, consumer crap, to finally invest in something that I can depend on to be reliable.

You also have the option of running Ethernet inside your walls, if that's a viable option. It's going to require some work on your part, but generally speaking, it is possible.
Powerline is the last option that I would consider (only if you're unable to establish a reliable wireless network) as it's very iffy with stability, and the endpoints themselves have a track record of being prone to failure.
