A little help is needed

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Forza horizon 4, Minecraft, roblox, spintires, chrome.

Other details: my friend got this pc for free from his brother who has just let it sit collecting dust for years. It’s a cybertron prebuilt and I have been tasked with making it usable again. It had no gpu installed, but instead an AMD A4 6300 apu. A single 8gb stick of ram, a 450watt psu, and a 1tb hdd from 2015.

We are taking a trip to micro center tomorrow to get an ssd. A mutual friend upgraded from and rx 580, so he’s getting that and maybe some ram for free. Any other tips to make this machine peppy enough to run forza?

fun fact, I couldn’t get it to boot when the ram was in the clot closest to the cpu, which is where I found it. I tried the other slot and only then did it post/boot.

The apu is clocked at 3.7 ghz, and I believe that’s a quad core? I honestly don’t know. The ram is ddr3.

Scrap the RAM, CPU, and MOBO. For FH4 I'd recommend a 2600x / 2600, a RX 580 as you mentioned, 16 GB RAM (in dual channel - 2x8), and a B350 / X370 / B450 board. That HDD will work just fine, but if that PSU is a cheap Chinese one, get a new one, like a 300-450W for 40-50 bucks.
