OPINIONS on the best Corsair PSU’s?

Premsanity

I’m specifically looking a 750-850w PSU but was wondering what other people thought on Corsair’s products? Or which one is the best?

Corsair are not as nice as Seasonic in the RMx line but are reliable like EVGA.

I have many of the RMx and they are the best bang for the buck for an 80+ Gold. I have a few CX but they're not as nice. I do like, however, that the CX, RMx, H and A all share the type 4 cables so I don't have to worry about which cable can be used for which supply.

The H- and A-series have nicer sleeved cabling than the RMx series if that's important. The RMx just has sleeved for the CPU and the CPU and GPU are ribbon cables.

Would you recommend the Hx850?

Yes, if you want sleeved PCIe cables with capacitors built-in. If you can live with ribbon cables or plan on getting a custom cable set I'd go with the RM850x instead and save a few bucks.

If I had to do it over again I'd go with Seasonic Prime's but I have 10-12 Corsairs now and they're "Good Enough"

Just check to make sure the mosel you're looking at has enough PCIe/CPU for the components you currently have and the one you might want in a few years.

I run all my GPUs mostly with a single feed but the largest is a 2070 Super. 2080Ti's I'd likely put on separate cables and some motherboards have multiple CPU power connectors but unless you're LN2 over-clocking they usually don't all need to be connected.

I was originally looking into Seasonic Prime TX 850 but everyone keeps telling me the fans are annoying and have a super loud ticking sound at low RPM’s

Corsair AX is Seasonic Prime actually ...

But if you ask me, don't both with "best" PSU, just get a very good one that doesn't break the bank. For example, in US, Seasonic Focus GX series PSUs happen to be ones of the cheapest options rn, no need to look at anything else.

I run folding at home 24x7 so I doubt I'd hear that over the roar of the case fans (Noctua iPPC3000s). You usually can tell them to not enable silent mode
