windows 10 hardware change

So i upgraded my whole pc besides the storage and windows is claiming i don't have windows 10 activated but it thought it was tied to my email? I don't have any watermarks but i'm a bit confused

not neccesarily. if it's a retail license you can transfer it over.

how do i find that then? Because this is windows from a dell that was upgraded from windows 7-10 for free

oh it's an OEM version? you can't transfer that.

Wait never mind lol so weird..... I manually installed the windows 10 updates restarted pc had to verify my email etc went to activate windows again and it finally let me activate it, Pew and i was about to drop 10$ :'D

There was probably much easiest way described on Microsoft website - just pressing troubleshoot button. But good to know it's working.
