Help me make this build cheaper but just as good?

thebelgiumpope

maybe 280(x) if it costs less where you live

also, get a cheaper psu, it's such overkill

I will be playing Wow and streaming etc

thanks in advance!

Are you dead set on overclocking? If not, you could save quite a few bucks on a 4670 + H87 motherboard. Although I would recommend getting into overclocking, it's fun.

Honestly there's no need for a Caviar black if you already have an SSD for your OS anyway, so go with a blue or a Seagate Barracuda I would say.

PSU is quite overkill for the current system, 550-650 would be more than enough. But if you're thinking about SLI in the future, keep the PSU as it is.

Thats about it, really. I honestly think you should go with Windows 8 but thats more personal preference than anything.

I agree with what the posts above me have said so far. To add to them, if you still need to save money, you *could* drop to a 120 GB SSD. It's the absolute minimum I would suggest for an SSD, but 250 GB really is a much more comfortable size to deal with.

Also, you could always just get a really cheap non-mechnical keyboard and save up for a mechanical one later. That way, the cheap one could be a spare for if something happens to the mechanical one.

Saves you about £60. PSU was way overkill for that system. G45 is better value. As is that RAM. You don't need 1866. Hell, if you're willing to go a step further, get Kingstom ValueRAM for about £56 and save about £75 in total

Also, I have used that DVD drive before. If you like the sound of a tornado, then it's great. Otherwise, I'd say the £10 on RAM by getting Kingston and then get a £15 LG GH24NS95

Yeah.  the PSU you picked has 4 rails and is pricey.

You may want to get a AC wireless adapter, you know, it's more 'future proof'

get an IPS monitor, please.

I'd like to suggest that any savings be put into getting an IPS panel monitor.
