Can i mix 2 types of ddr3 at 1600mhz

Hi, i was wondering if i could mix 2 sticks of ram (from different company) as long as they are the same speed and type.

Some DDR2 boards didn't respond well to that.

Then I'd imagine even DDR3 and DDR4 would have the same repercussions. 

Nobody can actually say for sure it will work. You have 50% chance. I've seen good and bad outcomes.

It could work but do keep in mind to make sure that timings are the same and if it works make sure they are at the same speed because the cpu's memory controller runs all sticks at the speed of the slowest one

You can easy. Always put the slow ram on the 1 slot, so the slots that the bord recomendes to use 1.
